Walking groups

In partnership with Greater Manchester Walking, our Community Connectors are leading four walking groups across Stockport. These are open to anyone with long term health issues wishing to walk for their wellbeing and connect with others in the local area.

We have a varied itinerary of days of walks and all our walks are free. We have walks suitable for individuals with mobility issues and longer walks for individuals who are up for a challenge!

We are also looking for 12 individuals to become Walking Champions. We will support you to become a Walking Champion and we will provide you with formal training in health & safety, safeguarding, first aid and digital skills support.

To find out more about our walking groups and how to join our walks, please get in touch with us here or via our TPA Community Connectors:

Mark Emery: 07800 618 976

Steven Delahunt: 07827 360 498

Ellie Unwin: 07485 325 398

In order to support the NHS Test and Trace system, we’ll be asking you to leave your contact details with us at each group. We’ll keep these in a secure and confidential database, and then we’ll destroy them. And finally, if you’re feeling unwell, or someone in your household is unwell, we ask you to stay at home. You can see more on our Track and Trace process here

We hope to see you on a walk soon!
