How we can help
The Positive Relationships Team have four workers based in locality teams across Stockport. The Positive Relationships Team will offer a whole family approach, we are an inclusive service working with men and women including the LGBTQ community. We work with men and women who have experienced domestic abuse and with mena and women who recognise their own behaviours can be abusive and wish to make positive changes in their lives. The Team also work with any men or women who wish to create healthier relationships.
The team consists of:
3 Caseworkers working with men and women, focusing on their strengths and helping them to create plans to stay safe; set goals and establish healthy relationships in their lives.
1 Motivation and Awareness worker works with men and women who have identified that their own behaviours are controlling or abusive and want to make positive changes. We also provide links into longer term behaviour change programmes.
We also offer:
- Counselling for children impacted by domestic abuse provided by TLC: Talk, Listen, Change
- Team members with specialist skills in working with male victims of domestic abuse
- Links into the Greater Manchester STRIVE project
- Connection into wider TPA services (Keyworkers and Community Connectors).
