Keyworker – Part time – 26 hours per week – Fixed Term Contract Until 31st May 2020

Our Key Workers provide a single point of contact, and work with vulnerable people to explore their strengths, and networks of support through a guided conversation. Their overall aim is to improve the wellbeing, resilience and independence of people living in Stockport and to reduce, delay or prevent people from accessing formal or statutory services.

Assisting people to find their own solutions and co-developing personal plans to motivate people to achieve their goals and improve their wellbeing and independence, you will provide advice, guidance, and challenge to build resilience, in order to ensure that people have networks in place to self-manage and live independently for the future.

Essentially, you will help individuals to recognise their strengths and build their confidence, providing a holistic approach to achieve long term solutions and identifying and reporting any Safeguarding concerns.

Previous experience of working with vulnerable people to achieve positive outcomes is essential and you must be capable of delivering a person led, strengths-based approach. Confident in the use of IT systems and solutions and of lone working with people in their homes and community locations, candidates should have experience of developing personal plans and of identifying safeguarding concerns. Due to the nature of the role, you must have the ability to travel independently with access to a vehicle insured for work purposes and with a full driving licence.

26 hours per week – hours of work are flexible and can be discussed at interview
