After a period of caring for a partner, relation or friend it can be hard to readjust once the person has passed away or has moved on into residential care or another home.
Stockport Signpost For Carers are instigating a number of groups where people who are former carers can support one another.
On the first Friday of each month there will an organised walk with people who are in a similar situation, over various routes throughout Stockport.
Every other Tuesday there will be a lunchtime meeting at The Kitchen, Greylaw House SK1 1LZ in the town centre.
And CareFree, a peer support group for ex-carers is running every Friday at High Lane Library.
If you are an ex-carer and are interested in attending any of these groups, please call Natalie on 0161 442 0442
