Salary £19,574.00 PRO RATA for part time – Fixed term contract to May 2020.
Two positions are available: Full time 37 hours per week and Part time 30 hours per week to be worked flexibly to meet the requirements of the service
You will be directly employed by Age UK Stockport and will work in conjunction with five other Alliance partners to deliver The Prevention Alliance (TPA) service within Stockport. The Prevention Alliance mission is ‘Creating change together – through the strengths of people and communities’. The overall aim is to improve the wellbeing, resilience and independence of people living in Stockport and to reduce, delay or prevent people from accessing formal or statutory services.
As a TPA Key Worker you will provide advice, guidance and signposting to vulnerable people through a holistic and person led approach. You will encourage and offer challenge to enable people to explore and recognise their personal strengths and networks of support; assisting each person to find and achieve their own goals and utilise their strengths to build their confidence, resilience and general wellbeing for the future.
The keyworker role involves being a good communicator, an ability to organise and prioritise workload, including lone working with people in their homes and community locations, and the ability to develop personal plans and of identify safeguarding concerns.
Previous experience must include working with vulnerable people to achieve positive outcomes, and we will be looking for evidence that you are capable of and committed to delivering a person led, and strengths-based approach.
Confident in the use of IT systems and solutions, and a commitment to work as a positive team member within both Age UK Stockport and the Alliance are also essential.
Due to the nature of the role, you must have the ability to travel independently.
