Digiknow Funding Round 2 now open

Digiknow is Stockport’s Digital Inclusion movement, involving many partners including SMBC, Starting Point Community Learning Partnership, Stockport Homes, CAB, TPA and others. It is overseen by Good Things Foundation, who are the Government’s main partner for Digital Literacy.

What we are aiming to do is to increase the provision of digital training embedded in communities throughout Stockport. The way that Good Things Foundation are doing this is to encourage community groups to become online centres by offering a £1500 Activation Grant to cover things like hire of premises, equipment, DBS checks, WiFi and anything else that will help to train people in Digital Skills. The expectation is that you will help 75 learners gain digital skills in the course of a year.

The second round of funding has just opened and will run until 24th January 2019.

More information on how to apply for the funding can be found here. https://www.onlinecentresnetwork.org/funded-projects/funding-opportunities.

If you are a community group who is interesting in becoming part of Digiknow but have questions about the project please email  paul.stevens@stockporthomes.org or ryan@startpoint.org.uk
