Tapiwa Dziruni on the STRIVE project launch

The Strive program is a project that supports victims of Domestic Violence. The project focuses on low level domestic violence. The project runs with volunteers who go out and visit victims of Domestic Violence. According to the talk this way of support has yielded results in Trafford Borough and Salford as victims tend to engage with volunteers than professionals. The victims are signposted to different support agencies, of which TPA is one of the agencies to sign post to.

During the Strive Launch TPA had a stand to raise awareness of who we are and what we do. We distributed TPA information Leaflets and had chats with different organisations as well as councillors from Stockport. Everyone who had been in contact with TPA was commending the good work TPA is doing. I met one councillor who had just been elected to post and advised me that she had a person that she really wanted to refer to the TPA. I gave her out Leaflet and explained that we have drop in sessions at the Hub every day. She advised that she will inform her person.
