Mark has been attending Westbrook for last 9 months. He was originally referred in via Community Connector after being seen by one of our keyworkers and having his benefits sorted out.
Mark initially found it very difficult to leave his flat as he had high levels of anxiety. After working with our Community Connector he was introduced to Westbrook where a variety of different activities take place ranging from woodwork and furniture restoration to embroidery and level 1 Key Skills in English and Maths. Mark has recently completed a 12 week joinery course and within this time has made a towel rail for his bathroom along with a wooden tea light holder. Mark has recently enrolled on the embroidery course as he felt he would like to learn alternations on his clothes. As the picture shows, Mark has just completed a lovely bag which he will be giving to his sister for Christmas. To show his gratitude to Westbrook he has created the blanket below and is in the process of becoming a volunteer there.
